Coconut Milk — What It Is, What It Does, Indian Food Sources

How KABO describes it“A creamy, dairy-free liquid extracted from mature coconuts, rich in healthy fats (MCTs) and electrolytes for natural hydration and sustained energy.”
Coconut Milk

What it actually is

Dried coconut milk powder. It is what gives the shake its creaminess without any dairy being involved.

What it does in the body

Adds fat for mouthfeel and satiety, contributes some MCTs, and carries the electrolytes naturally present in coconut. Fat also slows the absorption of the rest of the drink, which keeps you full for longer.

Where else to get it

Thengai paal in any Kerala or Tamil kitchen — avial, stew, payasam.

In the formula

This, more than anything else, is why the shake does not taste thin in water.

KABO does not publish a milligram-by-milligram breakdown of every micronutrient, so this page describes what the ingredient is and what it is needed for rather than how much of it a serving contains. The full ingredient list is printed on every pack and set out at kabo.co.in/pages/ingredients. This is general nutrition information, not medical advice — if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition or taking medication, talk to your doctor before changing what you take.
