Vitamin C

What it actually is

Water-soluble, not stored by the body, and therefore needed daily. In this formula it comes both as an added vitamin and from the superfruit and pepper ingredients.

What it does in the body

Required to make collagen — the protein that holds skin, blood vessels and connective tissue together — and contributes to normal immune function. It also markedly improves the absorption of plant iron eaten in the same meal.

Where else to get it

Amla is among the richest sources in the world. Guava, citrus, capsicum and green chilli are all excellent.

In the formula

Vitamin C degrades with heat and long storage, which is why fresh sources matter alongside any supplement.

KABO does not publish a milligram-by-milligram breakdown of every micronutrient, so this page describes what the ingredient is and what it is needed for rather than how much of it a serving contains. The full ingredient list is printed on every pack and set out at kabo.co.in/pages/ingredients. This is general nutrition information, not medical advice — if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition or taking medication, talk to your doctor before changing what you take.
