Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)

What it actually is

One of the two forms of vitamin B3. Niacinamide is preferred in formulations because it does not cause the flushing that plain niacin can.

What it does in the body

Involved in energy release from food, and in maintaining normal skin and the nervous system.

Where else to get it

Groundnuts, whole grains, mushrooms, chicken and fish.

In the formula

The body can also make a little B3 from tryptophan, an amino acid in dietary protein — one of several quiet links between protein intake and vitamin status.

KABO does not publish a milligram-by-milligram breakdown of every micronutrient, so this page describes what the ingredient is and what it is needed for rather than how much of it a serving contains. The full ingredient list is printed on every pack and set out at kabo.co.in/pages/ingredients. This is general nutrition information, not medical advice — if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition or taking medication, talk to your doctor before changing what you take.
