Blackberry

What it actually is

Another dark berry, dried and powdered. Blackberries are unusually high in fibre for a fruit — much of it in the seeds.

What it does in the body

Contributes vitamin C, which your body needs to make collagen, along with fibre and the same anthocyanin pigments as blueberry.

Where else to get it

Jamun is the closest Indian relative in both colour and season, and it is far cheaper when it is around.

In the formula

Part of the superfruit group; a supporting player rather than a headline.

KABO does not publish a milligram-by-milligram breakdown of every micronutrient, so this page describes what the ingredient is and what it is needed for rather than how much of it a serving contains. The full ingredient list is printed on every pack and set out at kabo.co.in/pages/ingredients. This is general nutrition information, not medical advice — if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition or taking medication, talk to your doctor before changing what you take.
