Amylase

What it actually is

An enzyme that cuts starch into smaller sugars. Your own body makes it in saliva and in the pancreas — it is the reason a mouthful of rice starts tasting faintly sweet if you chew it long enough.

What it does in the body

Helps break down the starches in a meal so they can be absorbed. Supplemental amylase is included to take some of the load off your own digestion, particularly in a drink this dense.

Where else to get it

Your body produces this itself. Chewing slowly genuinely helps it work.

In the formula

One of five enzymes in the digestive blend.

KABO does not publish a milligram-by-milligram breakdown of every micronutrient, so this page describes what the ingredient is and what it is needed for rather than how much of it a serving contains. The full ingredient list is printed on every pack and set out at kabo.co.in/pages/ingredients. This is general nutrition information, not medical advice — if you are pregnant, managing a medical condition or taking medication, talk to your doctor before changing what you take.
