KABO Apple Cinnamon: What Is Actually in the Sachet
KABO Apple Cinnamon is a 50 g single-serve sachet built on pea protein isolate and yeast protein isolate. It delivers 24 g of protein, 205 kcal, 4 g of fibre and 24 billion CFU of probiotics. It also contains 5 g of added sugar, which is a real difference from Butter Coffee and is worth knowing before you buy.
- 50 g sachet, 24 g of protein, 205 kcal — a single serving, not a scoop you measure.
- Two protein sources: pea protein isolate and yeast protein isolate.
- 24 billion CFU across three probiotic strains, plus inulin as a prebiotic.
- 5 g of added sugar per sachet, from organic cane sugar, alongside monk fruit.
- 402.5 mg of sodium per sachet, which is about 20% of the daily value.

Twenty-four grams of protein in one sachet is the headline, and it is a genuine single serving rather than a scoop you have to measure. For context, that is roughly three katoris of dal or about four eggs' worth.
The protein target for most adults is 1.0–1.2 g per kg of body weight, as nutrition at 40 sets out, so at 70 kg a sachet covers roughly a third of the day.
Where the protein comes from
Two sources, which is deliberate.
Pea protein isolate is high in lysine and the backbone of most quality plant formulations. On its own it is relatively low in methionine.
Yeast protein isolate is less familiar and worth explaining. It is complete, highly digestible, and complements pea on the amino acids where pea is weaker. Is yeast protein safe? covers the questions people have about it.
Together they produce a complete amino acid profile, which is the point of combining them rather than using more of one.
The things that are not protein
This is a meal replacement rather than a protein powder, and most of the ingredient list is there for that reason.
- Vitamins and minerals — including 100% of the RDA for vitamin E, folate, biotin, pantothenic acid and molybdenum, and over 90% for vitamin B3 and B12.
- Probiotics — Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Bifidobacterium longum at 8 billion CFU each, 24 billion in total.
- Inulin — a prebiotic fibre that feeds those bacteria, and part of the 4 g of fibre.
- MCT from coconut and coconut milk powder — fat for satiety and, as the piece on plant protein taste explains, for suppressing bitterness.
- Whole food powders — banana, pomegranate, carrot, spinach, tomato, green pepper, cucumber, beetroot, chlorella, goji berry, blackberry, cranberry, shiitake and maitake mushroom, ginger root.
- Digestive enzymes and sea salt.
The B12 figure deserves a note. At over 90% of the RDA per sachet it is genuinely useful for Indian vegetarians, for whom B12 is the single most commonly deficient nutrient — see nutrition at 61.
The added sugar, stated plainly
Apple Cinnamon contains 5 g of added sugar per sachet, from organic cane sugar, alongside monk fruit as a non-nutritive sweetener. Total sugar is 7.5 g, so roughly two-thirds of the sugar is added rather than from the fruit powders.
We would rather say that here than have you find it on the back of the pack. Five grams is a little over a teaspoon. In a 205 kcal meal replacement it is a small proportion of the total, and it is there because a palatable plant protein needs either sugar, heavy cocoa masking, or a great deal of sweetener.
If zero added sugar is your requirement, Butter Coffee is the product in the range that meets it. If what you want is something you will actually drink every day, this is the trade that was made.
| Consideration | Apple Cinnamon | Butter Coffee |
|---|---|---|
| Serving | 50 g sachet | 54 g serving |
| Protein | 24 g | 23–25 g |
| Added sugar | 5 g | None |
| Format | Single-serve sachet | Pouch |
| Flavour direction | Fruit and warm spice | Coffee |
Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits anyone who wants a single-serve format with no measuring, people who have tired of chocolate and vanilla, anyone who finds plain plant protein unpalatable, and vegetarians who want the B12 and the probiotics alongside the protein.
It does not suit anyone who needs zero added sugar, anyone on a sodium-restricted diet given the 402.5 mg per sachet, or anyone looking for the cheapest protein per gram — which, as nutrition at 23 sets out honestly, is dal and soya chunks rather than any powder.
Apple Cinnamon launches in November 2026 at ₹299 a sachet.
Where KABO fits in
This page is the full panel, including the parts that are less flattering: 5 g of added sugar and 402.5 mg of sodium per sachet. If no added sugar is your requirement, Butter Coffee is the product in the range that meets it, at 23–25 g of protein with none.
Apple Cinnamon launches in November 2026 at ₹299 a sachet. The product you can buy today is Butter Coffee. If you want to try the range before then, Butter Coffee is available now with 60+ ingredients and 26 vitamins and minerals. And the honest baseline from our own writing still stands: dal and soya chunks beat every powder on protein per rupee, so buy this for the convenience and the micronutrients or do not buy it.

Frequently asked questions
How much protein is in KABO Apple Cinnamon?
24 g per 50 g sachet, which is about 53% of the RDA. It comes from pea protein isolate and yeast protein isolate combined, which together give a complete amino acid profile. For context that is roughly three katoris of dal.
Does KABO Apple Cinnamon have added sugar?
Yes, 5 g per sachet from organic cane sugar, alongside monk fruit as a non-nutritive sweetener. Total sugar is 7.5 g. Butter Coffee is the product in the range with no added sugar, so they are not interchangeable on that point.
What probiotics are in it?
Three strains at 8 billion CFU each - Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Bifidobacterium longum - giving 24 billion CFU in total. Inulin is included as a prebiotic fibre to feed them, and contributes to the 4 g of fibre.
How many calories are in a sachet?
205 kcal per 50 g sachet, made up of 24 g protein, 20.5 g carbohydrate and 3 g fat. That makes it a light meal replacement rather than a snack or a plain protein powder.
What is yeast protein and is it safe?
A complete, highly digestible protein that complements pea protein on the amino acids where pea is weaker, which is why the two are combined. It is well established as a food ingredient; the common questions about purines and gut tolerance are covered in our separate guide.
